BioDrone™ Platform is a groundbreaking drug delivery system that utilizes cell-derived vesicles (CDVs) to deliver the treatment to diverse lesions in a selective manner.
CDVs are excellent drug carriers capable of being loaded with various drugs, including genetic materials such as mRNA, small RNA, or low-molecular-weight compounds. MDimune is focusing on researching a wide variety of medications through enrichment of biomolecular payloads inside the cell followed by extrusion, or drug encapsulation on purified CDVs.
Emerging technologies are integrated into BioDrone™ platform to produce vesicles with additional layers of functionality. MDimune is developing a drug delivery system with enhanced cancer targeting capabilities, brain tissue penetration, or improved therapeutic efficacy. It can be achieved by genetic engineering of cell sources or expressing targeting ligands on CDVs' membrane surface.
